Job summary

Brockton Neighborhood Health Center (BNHC) in Brockton, MA is seeking a Full Time Recovery Coach to support the Moms Do Care program for pregnant and parenting people with substance use disorders. The RC will provide peer recovery support, help develop wellness plans, conduct education on overdose prevention, and document encounters in the electronic health record while working

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet research.
• Knowledge of community resources related to substance use.
• Understanding of recovery principles; lived recovery experience preferred.
• Experience using EPIC or other EHR is a plus.
• Ability to apply cultural competency and equity in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Promote Moms Do Care to increase patient access through hospitals and clinics.
• Engage BNHC patients to deliver peer recovery support services.
• Co-lead support groups for pregnant, postpartum, and parent clients.
• Develop wellness and relapse prevention plans with patients.
• Provide overdose education and connect to Narcan and resources.
• Refer patients to healthcare, housing, childcare, and other services.
• Document encounters in the EHR and coordinate scheduling.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant communication and professional team collaboration.
• Attend trainings and adhere to privacy regulations.
