Job summary

The PRC collaborates with physicians, nurses, social workers, and community partners, ensuring a clearly defined peer support role within the care team and adherence to MA BSAS

Qualifications

• Two years of peer recovery support or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of recovery-oriented systems of care and community resources.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on an interdisciplinary hospital care team using a recovery-oriented model.
• Engage patients through rapport building and motivational interviewing techniques.
• Provide non-clinical education on treatment options, harm reduction, overdose prevention, and recovery supports.
• Support patients during ED, inpatient, and care transitions, including MOUD initiation or continuation, without clinical services.
• Advocate for patient goals during care planning and discharge.
• Assist patients navigating community resources, housing, insurance, transportation, and social services.
