Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. in Western Massachusetts is seeking a Recovery Coach to mentor adults on their recovery journeys, using motivational interviewing and peer support to build recovery capital and wellness plans while connecting clients to healthcare and community resources.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years in sustained recovery, and CARC certification progress within 1–2 years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years in sustained recovery from addiction required.
• Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) or working toward certification within 1-2 years required.
• Recovery Coach Academy & Ethical Considerations training (or ability to complete within 4 weeks of hire) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery coaching services to a minimum of 20 individuals
• Facilitate goal-setting through SMART goals and wellness planning
• Offer education on relapse prevention, harm reduction, and recovery strategies
• Conduct weekly coaching sessions and at least one in-person meeting monthly
• Connect individuals with healthcare, housing, employment, and community supports
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in alignment with agency standards
• Engage with the broader recovery community and lead information sessions
