Job summary

Voices of Hope - Lexington. Inc. seeks a Recovery Coach to support individuals on their recovery journey, offering peer-based coaching and resource navigation. This Richmond-based role also serves Clay County, under the supervision of the Program Coordinator.

The position emphasizes empathy, confidentiality, and active collaboration with the team to empower participants to set goals and strengthen recovery capital.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Lived experience with substance use recovery is highly preferred.
• Understanding of recovery principles and community resources.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; 18+.
• Commitment to background checks and I-9 verification.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer support and assist with personalized recovery plans.
• Offer encouragement, motivation, and accountability in the recovery journey.
• Connect participants with housing, treatment, healthcare, and employment resources.
• Educate on recovery concepts, coping skills, and safety techniques.
• Collaborate with supervisor and team; participate in meetings and trainings.
• Maintain confidential participant records and report program outcomes.
