Job summary

Harbor House, Inc. in Hot Springs, AR is seeking a Recovery Coach to assess clients and families, identify barriers to short- and long-term recovery, and document progress.

The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, time management, and familiarity with counseling regulations; certification as a Counselor in Training (CIT) or Alcohol and Drug Counselor, as well as QBHP training, are required or must be completed within six months.

Qualifications

• Proficient interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements at local, state and federal level.
• Must be registered as Counselor in Training (CIT) or certified as Alcohol and Drug Counselor; QBHP training required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, conduct and document individual coaching sessions.
• Maintain client records to include documentation of progress.
• Coordinate case management appointments with outside agencies and transport for residential clients.
• Complete discharge procedure including aftercare planning and checkout.
• Attend weekly Learning Labs.
• Maintain availability for clients.
• Screen prospective clients and assist admission decisions.
• For residential coaches, perform Regional Detoxification Specialist duties and log medications.
• Conduct drug testing and document results.
• Follow company policies and multitask as needed.
