Sanctuary Recovery Centers is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The role provides direct care in a structured treatment environment and supports clients in daily activities and therapeutic sessions.

Ideal candidates hold a BHT certification or have extensive BHT experience in the recovery field, plus FPCC, CPR/First Aid, and TB test within the last year. Shift flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a BHT certification, or extensive experience as a BHT in the recovery field.
• Minimum 4 consecutive years as a Behavioral Health Technician in the recovery field.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC) required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Current TB test within the last year.
• Peer Support certification is suggested, not required.
• CPI certification is suggested, not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to clients in a residential or outpatient setting.
• Assist clients with daily activities and maintain a safe, supportive environment.
• Monitor client behavior and document observations accurately.
• Support therapeutic activities and group sessions as directed by clinical staff.
• Respond to crisis situations and follow established protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support individualized treatment plans.
