Merakey in Carlisle, PA is seeking a part-time Certified Peer Specialist to join the Adult Behavioral Health team. The CPS will provide person-centered support, utilize lived experience to promote wellness, and help consumers navigate their recovery journey.

The role involves travel across Cumberland and Perry Counties, with flexible Monday-Friday hours between 8 am and 8 pm and a requirement to be available on Wednesdays. Earn $15.50/hour.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health recovery is required.
• Must have an active, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to individuals navigating mental health recovery.
• Travel throughout Cumberland and Perry Counties to support community-based goals.
• Facilitate recovery planning and use tools like WRAP and Psychiatric Advance Directives.
• Model coping strategies and promote community integration.
• Educate consumers on available services and natural supports.
• Advocate for recovery-based services and combat stigma.
• Maintain documentation and participate in trainings and supervision.
