Job summary

COMHAR, Inc. is seeking an Activities Planner in Easton, PA for the Recreation/Community Integration Coordinator role. The position supports recovery-focused recreational activities within the LTSR program and engages with community partners to enrich client experiences.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or therapeutic recreation, plus 2 years in mental health and strong communication skills. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation or related field is required.
• 2 years of experience working in Mental Health.
• Prior experience planning/coordinating activities and with community engagement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to work well with people; creative problem solving; knowledge of behavioral health systems; ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement recreational activities within the LTSR and community from a recovery framework.
• Collaborate with the LTSR Peer Government to create activity schedules reflecting individuals' needs and recovery goals.
• Organize and attend community integration opportunities and coordinate transportation as needed.
• Build relationships with community organizations to offer growth and new experiences.
• Submit activity schedules and budget projections; manage costs and track receipts.
• Document in clinical charts and logs; conduct initial and annual recreation assessments.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings; report concerns to the Program Director.
• Attend meetings and training sessions; contribute to Quality Improvement efforts.
