Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company is seeking a Recoup Specialist to inspect, document, and manage damaged food products within the distribution center. Your attention to detail and teamwork will help maintain quality and safety standards across the facility.

The role involves recouping reusable items, palletizing salvageable goods, recording product data and costs, coordinating with credit returns, and operating tuggers and forklifts as needed. Regular attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with decimals.
• Willing to work overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to cross-train and help in other returns areas.
• Ability to work in -5 F to ambient temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Recouping reusable products and disposing of waste per policy.
• Palletizing products for salvage or donation to food banks.
• Recording information on recouped, dumped, and salvaged products; lookup costs.
• Coordinating with credit returns personnel.
• Operating tuggers, fork-lifts, and pallet jacks as needed.
• Returning items to pick slots.
• Maintaining regular and reliable attendance.
• Performing other duties to meet business needs.

Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to collaborate with various teams will contribute to maintaining the high standards of our food quality and safety.

• Palletizing products that cannot be recouped or sold to salvage company for food banks.
• Recording all information on recouped products, dumped products, and salvaged products and looking up the cost of products to be sold to salvage companies.
• Coordinating activities with credit returns personnel.
• Operating tuggers, fork-lifts, and pallet jacks as necessary to complete job function.
• Returning items to pick slots
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Starting pay is $22.00 per hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department, which are subject to overnights shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be flexible and willing to cross train and help with other areas in the returns team as needed.
• Must be able to work in various temperature-controlled zones ranging from -5 F to ambient temperature.
