Job summary

Department of Children and Families in Clearwater, Florida seeks a Records Technician to receive, review, and assign abuse reports from the Florida Abuse Hotline. The role requires coordinating with FAHIS, CIS, and FSFN, maintaining case records, and supporting a multi-function Family Safety Unit.

A high school diploma and clerical experience are required. The position is Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with occasional weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Two years of clerical experience preferred.
• Must be able to work occasional weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Print and review abuse reports from the Florida Abuse Hotline and FAHIS/CIS/FSFN coordination.
• Review databases for prior or open investigations and related safety programs.
• Provide clerical support for a multi-function Family Safety Unit.
• Prepare intake case records for CPI on Hotline cases; notify CPI via FSFN.
• Assign cases to CPI or CPI Supervisor.
• Package investigation information and conduct diligent searches.
• Archive case files and maintain rotation and logs.
