Job summary

The Florida Department of Children and Families is seeking a Records Technician to support the Child Safety unit in West Palm Beach. You will handle abuse report intake, review data, and assign cases to CPI staff to ensure timely processing.

This OPS position emphasizes clerical accuracy, coordination with FAHIS/CIS/FSFN systems, and maintaining case logs. A high school diploma and basic MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Two years of clerical experience preferred.
• Ability to speak/read/write Spanish/Creole is a plus.
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Telephonic skills with multiple lines.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review and assign abuse reports from the Florida Abuse Hotline.
• Follow up with supervisory personnel to ensure awareness of pending investigations.
• Coordinate with FAHIS, CIS and FSFN systems.
• Prepare intake case records for Child Protective Investigator.
• Assign cases to CPI or CPI Supervisor and archive case files.
