Job summary

Atlas Search in New York City is seeking a Records Technician to maintain accurate physical and electronic records and support the Records function. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and experience with records management systems; iManage experience is highly preferred.

You will work in-office five days a week, handle file retrieval, storage transfers, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant records support in a fast-paced professional

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of file management and records retention systems and procedures.
  • Experience with records management software; iManage experience is highly preferred, with iManage Records Manager experience a plus.
  • Previous experience in a records-focused role, such as a Records Analyst, Records Technician, or similar position.
  • Experience working in a legal or professional services environment is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage competing deadlines effectively.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills when working with internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift and carry file or storage boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, organize, and update physical and electronic records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Utilize and navigate records management software and other related systems.
  • Respond to internal requests and inquiries regarding records and files in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Transfer inactive files to and from storage in accordance with file maintenance procedures.
  • Research and retrieve information from files for authorized users.
  • Collect and organize materials from various departments and employees for filing.
  • Track materials removed from files and follow up to ensure borrowed items are returned promptly.
  • Support records-related projects and initiatives for various business groups.
  • Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide high-quality records support.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as needed.

Job description

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–5:30 PM

Work Arrangement: 5 days per week in office

Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 base

Experience

Approximately 1–10 years of relevant experience; candidates with strong records management backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
