Job summary

SGI Global in Washington DC seeks a Records Examiner to provide data entry, records and data analysis support for the Executive Office for the United States Attorneys' Office. The role requires knowledge of databases, attention to detail, quality control, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities include analyzing debt collection data, creating spreadsheets, generating documents, and coordinating with other DOJ divisions.

Qualifications

• Four-year undergraduate degree required with minimum three years of professional work experience including data entry responsibilities.
• Two years of work experience as a Data Analyst can substitute for a four-year degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze debtor's ability to pay based on government collection standards and assets reported by third parties; make recommendations.
• Create and manipulate spreadsheets to report completed work and support analysis.
• Produce a variety of documents utilizing a wide range of office software; integrate outputs from databases, charts, and graphs into documents.
• Establish high-dollar complex civil debts in the debt collection database with accurate payee information and allocations.
• Process transfer debts and generate/email instructions for FedWire or Pay.gov.
• Monitor monthly status of debt payment plans and send delinquent reminders.
• Communicate professionally with Office of Legal Programs management, government officials, and debtors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
