Job summary

FIRST SOURCE TITLE AGENCY in Ohio seeks a Recording Specialist to join the Post-Closing / Recording team. This full-time, on-site role in North Ridgeville involves processing and reviewing closing documents for recording and ensuring correct fees and taxes are collected.

Prepare checks to accompany recorded documents. The position requires attention to detail, data entry proficiency, and familiarity with recording processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience.
• Ability to multi-task and high attention to detail.
• Proficient data entry/computer skills.
• Good mathematical skills.
• ResWare experience is a plus.
• Simplifile experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recordables for recording, request recording checks, and send to counties where applicable.
• Prepare recordables for recording and process electronically through Simplifile where applicable.
• Prepare refund requests for borrower/lender refunds and mail checks to borrowers/lenders.
• Scan recorded documents and return them to the lender.
• Maintain and update internal systems and spreadsheets in relation to recording information, including when documents are sent out for recording, recording information, and when documents are returned to the client.
• Responsible for correcting county rejections and resubmitting them to record.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time

Compensation: $22.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Summary

Responsible for the recording of documents in a timely and accurate manner. The Recording Specialist is responsible for processing and reviewing closing documents for recording, verifying that correct state, city, and/or county recording fees and taxes are being collected, and reviewing documents for recordability. Prepare checks to be sent with the documents.

Compensation & Benefits

• $22.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience.
