Job summary

The Consumer Rights Project at Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada seeks a full-time attorney to handle criminal record sealing cases for clients who have turned their life around and want to remove barriers to employment. The attorney will conduct outreach events to educate the community about the sealing process and assist community members in applying for our program.

This is a new program and will involve working with two advocates to build a creative, effective ways to assist as many people

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney in good standing in any US jurisdiction.
• Commitment to public interest law and community service.
• Extensive training provided; some litigation experience helpful but not required.
• Spanish language ability is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle criminal record sealing cases for clients seeking to remove barriers to employment.
• Conduct outreach events to educate the community about the sealing process and assist applicants.
