Job summary

PEAK Technical Services Inc. seeks a dedicated Warehouse Associate for our Birmingham, AL site. The role requires moving heavy boxes, operating hand trucks and pallet jacks, and using barcode scanners to track material flow.

You will lift up to 100 lbs and work a full-time schedule with safety footwear required. Candidates must be able to read and write in English and be a U.S. person to meet ITAR regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English.
• Protective footwear meeting ASTM F2413-11 standards with a slip-resistant rating.

Responsibilities

• Move, arrange, lift, and load storage boxes, bins, and totes weighing from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs.
• Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
• Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks safely on uneven and concrete surfaces.
• Utilize the proprietary computer system to track orders and determine the location of boxes.
• Operate handheld scanners.
• Climb and balance on ladders.
• Load and shrink wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
• Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids.
