Christiana Care Health System in Delaware seeks an NP/PA to join the Plastic Reconstructive Surgery team as First Assistant in the operating room, focusing on breast reconstruction and microsurgical flap procedures. The role includes direct patient care under approved protocols and evolving independence under the plastic surgeon’s guidance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician’s Assistant program or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
• Delaware licensure or license eligible as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
• RNFA required for NP candidates.
• ACLS required.
• Experience working under loupes/surgical microscope preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate as First Assist in breast reconstruction and microsurgical flap procedures.
• Assist the surgeon in patient care and medical management per approved protocols.
• Provide evolving independence under the plastic surgeon’s guidance.
• Handle on-call responsibilities as part of the role.
