Job summary

ChristianaCare's Plastic Reconstructive Surgery team seeks an NP/PA to join as First Assist, focusing on breast reconstruction and microsurgical flap procedures in the operating room, with clinic duties on non-operative days and on-call responsibilities.

The role requires graduation from an accredited PA or ACNP program, Delaware licensure or eligibility, RNFA for NP candidates, and ACLS certification; experience with loupe/surgical microscope is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician’s Assistant program or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
• Delaware licensure or license eligible as a Physician Assistant or ACNP.
• RNFA required for NP candidates.
• ACLS required.
• Experience working under loupes/surgical microscope preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate as First Assist in breast reconstruction and microsurgical flap procedures.
• Provide patient care and direct medical management under approved protocols.
• Support evolving independence under the plastic surgeon’s guidance.
• Handle on-call responsibilities as part of the role.
