Job summary

Palm Build LLC is seeking an experienced Reconstruction Superintendent / Project Manager to oversee residential reconstruction projects from scoping through completion. This hands-on role focuses on Xactimate estimating, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, quality control, and job-site execution.

You will visit sites, develop scopes of work, review estimates, coordinate materials and crews, and communicate with homeowners and insurance personnel to keep projects moving on schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in residential reconstruction, remodeling, PM, or field supervision.
• Experience managing residential projects and subcontractors to completion.
• Strong knowledge of residential methods, materials, and sequencing.
• Xactimate experience required: create, review, revise estimates.
• Develop accurate scopes of work from site conditions.
• Read and interpret scopes, measurements, and plans.
• Organizational and communication skills for multiple projects.
• Travel between job sites; valid driver's license.

• Coordinate punch lists, final walkthroughs, and project closeout.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, determine reconstruction scope, and develop accurate scopes of work.
• Create, review, and revise Xactimate estimates based on project requirements.
• Support reconstruction projects at various stages, from initial scoping through completion and closeout.
• Monitor active job sites to ensure work is progressing correctly, on schedule, and to Palm Build standards.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, ensuring work is completed properly and efficiently.
• Coordinate materials, deliveries, pickups, and other field requirements necessary to keep projects moving.
• Communicate with homeowners, subcontractors, and internal teams regarding project status and job‑site requirements.
• Identify job‑site issues, scope concerns, material needs, or delays and communicate them to the appropriate team member.
• Conduct quality‑control checks and address deficiencies throughout the project.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including estimates, photos, progress updates, and closeout records.
• Coordinate punch‑list items, final walkthroughs, and project closeout.
• Follow Palm Build safety requirements and maintain professional, organized job sites.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in residential reconstruction, remodeling, construction project management, or field supervision.
• Proven experience managing residential construction projects and subcontractors from start through completion.
• Strong working knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
• Xactimate experience required, including the ability to create, review, and revise estimates.
• Experience developing accurate scopes of work based on site conditions and project requirements.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, material coordination, job‑site logistics, and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret scopes of work, measurements, plans, and project documentation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and active projects.
• Comfortable working directly with homeowners, subcontractors, project managers, and insurance‑related personnel during the reconstruction phase.
• Ability to identify job‑site issues, scope gaps, scheduling concerns, and material needs and communicate them promptly.
• Strong attention to detail and accountability for project quality, timelines, and completion.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between job sites throughout the Charlotte area.
• Professional appearance and conduct when representing Palm Build at customer properties.
• Restoration or insurance reconstruction experience is strongly preferred.
• IICRC certification or other relevant construction/restoration credentials are a plus.
