Job summary

SERVPRO of Duncanville/DeSoto is seeking a Construction Project Estimator to ensure high-quality service for customers and clients on a wide range of restoration projects. You will develop estimates, manage documentation, and coordinate with adjusters to secure project approvals.

The role requires two years of Xactimate experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to meet production goals while controlling costs. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of Xactimate experience, including sketch, preferred.
• Previous construction experience is favorable.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to inspect damages and photograph sites.
• Develop/write estimates for restoration services to restore structures.
• Document all communications and follow-ups with clients regularly.
• Coordinate with adjusters for project approvals and scope changes.
• Ensure estimates comply with plans, codes, and specifications.
• Follow projects from inspection through closeout and documentation.

As a Construction Project Estimator with Servpro of Duncanville/DeSoto , you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service is provided to all customers and clients! In this role, you will manage a wide range of functions on all construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to inspect and photograph all damages .
• Gain Confidence with customers .
• Develop/write an estimate to include all construction services required to restore the structure and ensure customer and client satisfaction. (ie ITEL, material reports, engineering reports)
• Document all communications and all follow up communications with customers and clients twice weekly at minimum.
• Communicate with adjusters and clients when needed for project approvals/ authorizations.
• Ensure estimate complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work.
• Ensure proper documentation of each project including photos.
• Assist Project Construction Manager when needed for scope or explanation of scope.
• Follow the claim from inspection to close for documentation and all communications.
• Salary plus earned commissions.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Previous construction experience Preferred
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to meet established production goals and maintain profitability
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Two years of Xactimate experience, including sketch (Required)
• Proactive follow-up and communication skills

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Exposure to extreme conditions such as heat
• Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of times (i.e., driving, sitting, climbing)
• Ability to climb ladders for inspections and photos
• Exposure to noise levels at jobsites that can be loud
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
