Job summary

SERVPRO of Kansas City Midtown is seeking a Project Estimator to manage a wide range of functions to successfully obtain, bid, and price restoration projects. This dynamic role involves delivering consistent and complete estimates and maintaining high-quality communication with customers, clients, and resource providers.

The role requires at least 2 years of estimating experience and proficiency with Xactimate or similar software, plus strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive customer relationships for restoration projects.
• Identify, qualify, and secure opportunities to obtain and price projects.
• Educate customers on processes, determine project requirements, and obtain agreements.
• Negotiate contract terms and set expectations with customers.
• Coordinate subcontractors, crews, and suppliers with onsite management.
• Create and deliver sketches and initial scopes of work for all project types.
• Assemble and deliver project schedules, scope of work, and estimates.
• Deliver timely, well-defined estimates considering all cost factors for profitability.

  The Project Estimator is responsible for managing a wide range of functions necessary to successfully obtain, bid, and price construction projects. This dynamic position involves job lead conversion, delivering consistent and complete estimates, and maintaining a high quality of service and correspondence in all dealings with customers, clients, and resource providers.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive customer relationships for construction services.
• Identify, qualify, and secure opportunities to obtain and price projects.
• Educate customers on relevant processes, determine project requirements and obtain customer and client agreements.
• Negotiate contract terms and set expectations with customer.
• Identify, organize and schedule subcontractors, crew and suppliers with onsite management throughout project.
• Create and deliver accurate sketches and initial scopes of work for all project types.
• Assemble and deliver project schedule and timeline, scope of work and estimates.
• Deliver timely, consistent, and well-defined estimates that consider all cost factors and ensure projects are estimated for maximum profitability within set budget.
• Review budgets and recognize project constraints and necessary modifications.
• Coordinate and initiate the completion of proper permits, punch list items, final walk through and any warranty activities.
• Secure a signed Certificate of Completion and Certificate of Satisfaction from customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Necessary Experience and Skill Set

• 2 years’ experience estimating
• Selling or securing construction and/or restoration projects.
• Expertise in Xactimate software or similar estimating software.
• Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, emergency-driven environment.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Team and goal oriented.
  Compensation: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
