Job summary

Servpro of Duncanville/DeSoto is seeking a Construction Project Estimator to ensure high-quality service on all restoration projects in the Dallas area. You will inspect damages, photograph sites, and develop detailed estimates for restoration work, including ITEL/engineering reports, while documenting all communications with clients and adjusters.

The role requires two years of Xactimate experience (including sketch), a high school diploma or GED, and a background in construction.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to inspect and photograph damages.
• Develop and write an estimate for restoration services.
• Document all communications with customers and clients.
• Coordinate with adjusters and clients for approvals.
• Ensure estimates comply with plans, codes, and scope of work.
• Support Project Construction Manager as needed.
• Track the claim from inspection to close.

As a Construction Project Estimator with Servpro of Duncanville/DeSoto , you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service is provided to all customers and clients! In this role, you will manage a wide range of functions on all construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to inspect and photograph all damages .
• Gain Confidence with customers .
• Develop/write an estimate to include all construction services required to restore the structure and ensure customer and client satisfaction. (ie ITEL, material reports, engineering reports)
• Document all communications and all follow up communications with customers and clients twice weekly at minimum.
• Communicate with adjusters and clients when needed for project approvals/ authorizations.
• Ensure estimate complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work.
• Ensure proper documentation of each project including photos.
• Assist Project Construction Manager when needed for scope or explanation of scope.
• Follow the claim from inspection to close for documentation and all communications.
• Salary plus earned commissions.

Position Requirements

• Two years of Xactimate experience, including sketch (Required)
• Proactive follow-up and communication skills

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Exposure to extreme conditions such as heat
• Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of times (i.e., driving, sitting, climbing)
• Ability to climb ladders for inspections and photos
• Exposure to noise levels at jobsites that can be loud
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
