Job summary

SERVPRO is seeking a Project Estimator to manage bidding, pricing, and communication across construction projects. You will lead job leads, prepare complete estimates, and ensure a high level of service with customers, clients, and suppliers.

Responsibilities include establishing client relationships, securing project opportunities, and delivering accurate scopes of work and schedules. Experience with Xactimate and a customer-focused mindset are essential to success in this emergency-driven role.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience estimating.
• Selling or securing construction/restoration projects.
• Expertise in Xactimate software or similar estimating tools.
• Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, emergency-driven environment.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive customer relationships for construction services.
• Identify, qualify, and secure opportunities to obtain and price projects.
• Educate customers on relevant processes, determine project requirements and obtain customer and client agreements.
• Negotiate contract terms and set expectations with customer.
• Coordinate subcontractors, crew and suppliers with onsite management throughout project.
• Create and deliver accurate sketches and initial scopes of work for all project types.
• Assemble and deliver project schedule and timeline, scope of work and estimates.
• Deliver timely, consistent, and well-defined estimates that consider all cost factors and ensure profitability.
• Review budgets and recognize project constraints and necessary modifications.
• Coordinate completion of permits, punch lists, final walk-through and warranty activities.
• Secure a signed Certificate of Completion and Certificate of Satisfaction from customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Project Estimator is responsible for managing a wide range of functions necessary to successfully obtain, bid, and price construction projects. This dynamic position involves job lead conversion, delivering consistent and complete estimates, and maintaining a high quality of service and correspondence in all dealings with customers, clients, and resource providers.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive customer relationships for construction services.
• Identify, qualify, and secure opportunities to obtain and price projects.
• Educate customers on relevant processes, determine project requirements and obtain customer and client agreements.

• Identify, organize and schedule subcontractors, crew and suppliers with onsite management throughout project.
• Create and deliver accurate sketches and initial scopes of work for all project types.
• Assemble and deliver project schedule and timeline, scope of work and estimates.
• Deliver timely, consistent, and well-defined estimates that consider all cost factors and ensure projects are estimated for maximum profitability within set budget.
• Review budgets and recognize project constraints and necessary modifications.
• Coordinate and initiate the completion of proper permits, punch list items, final walk through and any warranty activities.
• Secure a signed Certificate of Completion and Certificate of Satisfaction from customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Necessary Experience and Skill Set

• 2 years’ experience estimating
