Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Accounting or Finance degrees/work experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year accounting experience in financial industry and understanding of transactional/balance reconciliations.
• Knowledge of General Ledger, Internal Demand Deposit Accounts, Trust House or Trust/Treasury Positions.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook and reconciliation/reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of General Ledger, Internal Demand Deposit Accounts, Trust House, and Trust/Treasury Positions.
• Monitor exception reporting and assign outstanding items to appropriate departments.
• Obtain correct supporting documentation for audits and regulatory agencies.
• Investigate and follow-up on exceptions; resolve with appropriate personnel.
• Identify non-standard reconcilement problems and assist in resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records and strong relationships across business lines and accounting groups.
• Understand impact of transactions and communicate organizational changes to partners.
• Assist in converting acquired companies or system upgrades to accounting policies and practices.
• Develop training manuals and conduct reconciliation training.
