Job summary

Abacus Group, LLC is seeking a Reconciliation Analyst to join our client’s Manhattan, NY office. The role focuses on cash, trade, position, and P&L reconciliations across multiple asset classes to support NAV finalization.

The candidate will resolve reconciliation breaks in collaboration with fund administrators and internal teams, monitor controls and SLAs, and drive process improvements through automation and workflow optimization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fund operations or product control experience.
• Experience with multi‑strategy hedge funds, prime brokers, or fund administrators.
• Hands-on reconciliation across multiple streams and asset classes.

Our client is an investment management firm. They seek a Reconciliation Analyst to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Perform cash, trade, position, P&L, and affirmation reconciliations across multiple asset classes
• Reconcile internal trading records against fund accounting books before NAV finalization
• Manage reconciliation breaks by investigating, escalating, and resolving discrepancies with fund administrators
• Monitor reconciliation controls, policies, and service level agreements to ensure operational accuracy
• Analyze exception reports and maintain tracking of aged and unresolved items
• Collaborate with counterparties, administrators, and internal teams to resolve complex reconciliation issues
• Compare internal, prime broker, and administrator records to identify and explain discrepancies
• Report reconciliation metrics, including break volumes, matching rates, and resolution timelines
• Support NAV sign-off by validating reconciliation completeness and accuracy
• Improve reconciliation processes through automation, system enhancements, and workflow optimization

Requirements

• 5+ years of fund operations or product control experience
• Multi-strategy hedge fund, prime broker, or fund administrator
• Hands‑on experience performing reconciliation across multiple streams and asset classes (equities, fixed income, rates, credit, FX, derivatives)
• Strong understanding of reconciliation workflows
• Experience supporting break resolution processes with a fund administrator, including investigation and escalation workflows
• Experience analyzing discrepancies across internal books, prime broker, and administrator records
• Exposure to reconciliation reporting, SLA tracking, or operational metrics is preferred
• Working knowledge of STP workflows, the trade lifecycle, and NAV production processes
• Familiarity with T+0 trade affirmation platforms (e.g., ALERT, CTM, Traiana)
