Job summary

Francis Howell School District is seeking a part-time Recess Paraprofessional to support our elementary playground program and help create a safe, engaging recess for students.

The Paraprofessional - Recess assists with supervision, organizes activities, and maintains equipment while following district policies. Strong communication and basic math skills are valued; a high school diploma is required and experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Basic math skills required for handling simple calculations.
• Clear communication and understanding of procedures.

Responsibilities

• Attend Training: Participate in in-service training to gather information needed for the role.
• Implement Discipline: Enforce discipline procedures to help students follow rules.
• Maintain Equipment: Ensure playground equipment is in working order and replenish supplies as needed.

• Organize Activities: Plan and execute indoor and outdoor activities to keep students engaged.

Job Summary

The Paraprofessional - Recess performs general duties to maintain a safe and orderly environment during recess and supports student engagement through organized activities.

Key Responsibilities
