Cole Health is seeking a dedicated Receptionist and Interpreter to join our team in Houston. This role involves greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and providing vital interpretation services for our Spanish-speaking clients. Schedule: Monday through Thursday 10am-7pm, and Friday 10am-5pm (end time varies on Fridays)
Pay Rate: $13-$15/hr depending on experience

Job Description: Receptionist and, as needed, Interpreter
The receptionist position is responsible for greeting clients, answering telephones, and maintaining daily schedules. The receptionist reports to the executive office manager.
The Interpreter/Translator position requires exceptional reading and comprehension skills, excellent writing skills, and command of the English & Spanish languages. The Interpreter is required to have knowledge of interpreting techniques, cultural and linguistic differences that impact effective communication, and the ability to translate documents, letters, therapeutic instructions, registration information, consents, etc., into the target language. Specific job responsibilities may vary from time to time. Interpreting/Translation can occur in a facility or an approved home care setting. This position reports to the designated manager on site.

Team Responsibility
Treat fellow administrative team members, clients, and therapists with respect and politeness. Arrive on time and follow established dress code policies.
Operational Responsibilities
1. Greet clients and provide necessary documents for completion during evaluation or therapy sessions. Check patients in using the scheduler and contact necessary therapists when needed. Collect and process co-pays from clients following standard procedures.
2. Professionally answer and address all phone calls. Ensure calls are redirected appropriately. Check telephone messages for accuracy and follow up.
3. Place appointment reminder calls to patients at initial evaluation, 30-day visits, 6-month re-evaluations, and treatments.
4. Maintain front desk metric boards according to standard work.
5. Follow opening and closing procedures for the front desk operation.
6. Maintain cleanliness and order in the front desk, waiting area, bathrooms, and kitchens, including stocking cards, client forms, and brochures in the waiting room.
7. Communicate with Medicaid Authorization Coordinators and Patient Care Coordinators regarding Medicaid coverage and authorization status.
8. Notify Medicaid Authorization Coordinators and Patient Care Coordinators of any changes in Medicaid coverage presented by the parent/responsible party.
9. Inform Patient Care Coordinators and Cole Financial Services of any changes in commercial insurance coverage or demographic information.
10. Process incoming faxes to the appropriate person.
11. Record client cancellations in Raintree Scheduler and contact therapists about cancellations.
12. Be knowledgeable about organization personnel, Cole Pediatric Therapy’s business, and locations.
13. Know all emergency procedures and the location of emergency equipment. Be prepared to call 911 in an emergency. During evacuation, transport the emergency binder and appointment schedule out of the office.
14. Attend daily administrative meetings.
15. Observe patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
Other Responsibilities That May Be Assigned:
1. Promote the Attendance Reward Program.
2. Reschedule client appointments as needed.
3. Assemble and maintain Client Welcome Packets for Medicaid and insurance clients.
4. Update and maintain compliance logs, such as the Food log.
5. Create new employee mailboxes.
6. Fax or mail reports to physicians and parents, and track deliveries.
