Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking a Radiology Receptionist/ File Clerk for the Radiology Department. Duties include answering phones, greeting patients, preparing requisitions for outpatients, and filing/reporting medical records using PACS.

The role requires basic radiology terminology knowledge, strong phone etiquette, and a HS diploma. 1 year receptionist experience is preferred; full-time daytime shifts available.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in receptionist work preferred.

Overview

Responsibilities

The Radiology Receptionist/ File Clerk perform clerical duties for the Radiology Department such as answering telephones, greeting patients and preparing requisitions for outpatients. Other duties include, but are not limited to, filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records. The Radiology Receptionist / File Clerk should demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in Radiology. This person should demonstrate good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner. Maneuvers through reception area, as well as, outside storage area. Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and by running errands throughout the facility.

• 1 year experience in receptionist work preferred
• Knowledge of terminology of Radiology tests preferred.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $20.00 to $23.75 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
