The Receptionist at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) serves as the first point of contact for residents, families, staff, and visitors. This role is responsible for greeting guests, answering and directing phone calls, managing front desk operations, and providing administrative support to ensure a welcoming and organized environment in the facility.
The Receptionist will report to the Business Office Manager
Greet all residents, family members, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner
Answer and direct incoming phone calls using a multi-line phone system
Maintain sign-in/out logs for visitors and vendors in accordance with facility policies
Respond to inquiries and provide information regarding facility services and procedures
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and packages
Assist with scheduling appointments or facility tours as needed
Support administrative staff with clerical tasks including filing, copying, and data entry
Ensure the front lobby and reception area are clean, organized, and welcoming
Uphold HIPAA and resident privacy standards at all times
Assist during emergency procedures by maintaining communication and directing traffic as needed
Perform additional administrative tasks or projects as assigned by supervisor
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous receptionist or front desk experience preferred (healthcare or SNF experience a plus)
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and a healthcare setting is beneficial
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
Bilingual skills (preferred but not required, depending on the facility population)
This position is located in a skilled nursing facility environment with regular interaction with elderly residents and healthcare staff
