Job summary

Hudson Hospital & Clinic is seeking a patient access representative to join our team. You will perform check-in, registration and scheduling functions while addressing inquiries via phone, email, or fax in accordance with CMP guidelines.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, completing paperwork, processing payments and co-pays, making reminder calls, and maintaining department files and provider schedules. Prior customer service in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 6 months related experience required.
  • Two years in customer service, hospital, or medical clinic setting preferred.
  • Graduate of formal training program in medical reception or customer service is a plus.

  • Answer incoming calls in queue and support department internal lines.
  • Review and understand measures that support service goals.
  • Direct emergency calls per department guidelines.
  • Greet and direct patients to appropriate patient care areas.
  • Complete necessary paperwork to support the patient visit.
  • Process closing of payments and co-pays.
  • Conduct patient reminder calls or send written notifications for appointments.
  • Maintain department files and providers schedules.
  • Promote and maintain patient relations and confidentiality.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Some medical background preferred.
  • Two-year degree in related studies preferred
