Job summary

Hudson Hospital & Clinic is seeking a patient access team member to support check-in, registration, and scheduling, with inquiries handled via phone, email, or fax.

You will greet patients, complete paperwork, assist with payments and co-pays, and coordinate with providers while upholding CMP guidelines and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 6 months related experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years in customer service, hospital, or medical clinic setting or graduate of a formal training program in medical reception or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls in queue and support department internal lines.
• Review and understand individual and team measures that support service goals.
• Direct emergency calls in an appropriate manner according to department guidelines.
• Greet and direct patients to appropriate patient care areas.
• Complete necessary paperwork to support the patient visit.
• Complete the closing process for collection of payments and co-pays.
• Conduct patient reminder calls or prepares written notification for scheduled appointments.
• Establishes and maintains department files and providers schedules.
• Promote and maintain good patient relations and confidentiality.

Essential Duties:

• Complete necessary paperwork to support the patient visit

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6 months related experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years in customer service, working in a hospital, or medical clinic setting or graduate of a formal training program in medical reception or customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some medical background preferred.
• Two-year degree in related studies preferred
