Qualifications

• Education and Formal Training: High school diploma or equivalent required
• Work Experience: None
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Basic knowledge of computers, multi-line telephones, copiers and calculators
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet the public and direct them to appropriate people or places for assistance
• Accepts and conveys accurate and timely messages, routing telephone calls appropriately
• Distributes mail coming into and originating from the office
• Assists with monitoring and record keeping related to operating and capital budget
• Processes travel requests and educational arrangements
• Computerizes select information for ease of retrieval
• Maintains office supplies
• Schedules meetings upon request
• Ensure integrity of communication systems with Personnel Department regarding status changes, PAFs, etc.
• Maintains and monitors system for recording and tracking personnel requisitions

Summary

Greet the public, communicate messages, coordinate telephone calls and distribute incoming and outgoing mail. Processes select travel and capital expenditures, schedule assigned meetings and maintains office and administrative supplies.
