Job summary

Locke Solutions, a premier provider of custom precast concrete solutions in Houston, seeks a friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact for employees, vendors, and visitors. You will manage calls, greet guests, and support mail, shipping, and office operations from the front desk.

Based at the front reception, you will coordinate mail, maintain a welcoming space, assist with onboarding logistics, and collaborate with the Senior Office Administrator to ensure smooth daily office

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a receptionist, front-desk, customer service, or administrative role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a warm, professional phone and in-person presence.
  • Strong organizational skills and reliability; stable.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact at the reception desk, greeting employees, vendors, and visitors professionally and warmly.
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate person or department.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and shipping (USPS, FedEx, UPS, courier coordination).
  • Maintain the lobby, common areas, and reception space in a clean, organized, and welcoming condition.
  • Keep the kitchen and break room stocked and tidy, and coordinate coffee/snack orders.
  • Monitor office supply levels and restock per established par levels; flag reorder needs to the Senior Office Administrator.
  • Manage conference room and shared calendar bookings; set up rooms and coordinate catering pickup/setup as directed.
  • Issue visitor badges and maintain the visitor log in accordance with office security procedures.
  • Support new‑hire onboarding logistics, including desk setup, badges, and welcome materials.
  • Perform first-line troubleshooting on office equipment (printers, copiers) and coordinate repair requests with vendors.
  • Process incoming invoices and receipts for office purchases and route them for approval.
  • Scan, file, and organize physical and digital documents as needed.
  • Maintain office directories, seating charts, and contact lists.
  • Escalate facilities issues, vendor concerns, or unusual visitor situations to the Senior Office Administrator promptly.

ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The Receptionist role is the first point of contact for Locke Solutions, delivering a warm, professional welcome to every employee, vendor, and visitor. Based at the front reception desk, you will manage incoming calls, greet guests, coordinate mail and shipping, and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment. This role reports directly to the Head of Talent and partners closely with the Senior Office Administrator on daily office coverage, making it an excellent foundation for a career in office administration.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in a receptionist, front‑desk, customer service, or administrative role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a warm, professional phone and in‑person presence.
  • Strong organizational skills and reliability; stable
  • Bilingual (Preferred).
