Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming telephone calls and greet office visitors in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner, providing appropriate assistance and direction.
  • Screen and direct calls and visitors to the appropriate program or staff member, ensuring staff availability before transferring calls or directing visitors.
  • Receive, document, and distribute messages accurately and promptly, including recording the date, time, caller/visitor information, and staff member to whom the message or visit is directed.
  • Develop and maintain a staff whereabouts and availability system to support effective communication and ensure timely responses to telephone calls, messages, and office visitors.
  • Maintain accurate records and tracking systems for telephone calls, office visits, and messages, including maintaining organized files and monitoring the number and disposition of calls and visits.

Receptionist-Child Protection Services

FULL TIME EMPLOYEE

Salary Range: $15.16 To $18.95 Hourly

SCOPE OF WORK: The Receptionist provides professional and courteous front-desk and administrative support to the Child Protection Services Department. The position serves as the primary point of contact for clients, visitors, the public, and callers and helps ensure that inquiries and communications are handled promptly, accurately, and appropriately.

  • Screen and direct calls and visitors to the appropriate program or staff member, ensuring staff availability before transferring calls or directing visitors.

  • Provide general administrative support to Child Protection Services, including maintaining confidentiality of client and departmental information and performing other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Driver's License.

SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

TESTING AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

Subject to pre-employment, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.

Tribal, State, and Federal background investigation.

HIRING PREFERENCES:

Qualified applicants who are enrolled members of a federally recognized Tribe will receive Native American preference.

Qualified applicants will receive Veteran's Preference with submission of proof of honorable military service (e.g., DD-214).
