Pawling Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a Full-Time Receptionist to join our team. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for providing a warm and professional welcome to residents, visitors, and staff, while also handling phone calls, mail, and administrative tasks.
Operate the facility switchboard and paging system with patience, courtesy, and professionalism
Receive, screen, and relay incoming calls, forward phone messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff according to facility policy
Welcome and direct residents, visitors, consultants, emergency personnel, vendors, and other guests
Assist with visitor procedures and facility protocols as needed
Sign for deliveries and assist with sorting and distributing incoming mail
Perform basic clerical duties and provide administrative support as assigned
Maintain a warm, welcoming, organized, and professional front desk environment
Interact respectfully and courteously with residents, families, visitors, and staff
Assist with additional front desk and administrative responsibilities as needed
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience preferred
Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and familiarity with standard office applications
Previous experience in a healthcare, nursing home, or medical setting is a plus
Pleasant and professional speaking voice
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Friendly, dependable, and professional demeanor
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and remain professional in a busy environment
Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
Ability to work independently while demonstrating flexibility, integrity, and professionalism
