Job summary

Career Group is seeking a polished Workplace Experience Associate / Receptionist for a corporate office in Kansas City. This client-facing role creates an elevated workplace experience for employees, visitors, and guests.

The ideal candidate is personable, organized, proactive, and excels at time management and attendance. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of professional experience preferred.
  • Hospitality or reception experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and guests.
  • Provide professional, high-level customer service in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Greet and register guests and coordinate with appropriate employee hosts.
  • Provide real-time meeting and conference room support.
  • Ensure meeting rooms are properly prepared, including supplies, AV equipment, lighting, temperature, and catering needs.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of office and common areas to ensure spaces are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Manage office supplies and assist with expense tracking.
  • Receive, organize, and secure packages and deliveries.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving needs.
  • Submit facilities and maintenance requests as needed.
  • Assist with building access, visitor access, and access card troubleshooting.
  • Maintain control and tracking of office keys.
  • Answer general questions regarding office amenities and building procedures.
  • Proactively identify additional ways to support the office during downtime.
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and service-oriented presence at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new computer-based systems
  • Must be able to work the full 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Monday–Friday schedule consistently
