Job summary

Luxor Healthcare in Missouri is seeking a dependable Receptionist to join our team. This role operates under the direction of the Office Manager and Administrator, handling day-to-day receptionist and clerical duties in accordance with all current Federal, State, local, and facility regulations and standards.

Shift: Day / Night.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all facility and departmental policies, guidelines, and directives when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
  • Answer phones, direct calls, and take messages.
  • Greet visitors and provide directions to locations within the facility.
  • Order office supplies and departmental materials as assigned.
  • Monitor resident activity near the front door and assist or redirect as necessary.
  • File resident, employee, and business records as directed.
  • Complete departmental copying assignments.
  • Handle mail-related tasks: mailing care plan letters, resident trust letters, rehab letters to physicians, and delivering incoming mail to departments.
  • Manage applicant inquiries, distribute/collect applications, and notify department heads of walk-in applicants.
  • Maintain and update the resident room board in the lobby.
  • Cooperate with personnel to prioritize resident care.
  • Immediately report resident incidents or accidents to nursing staff.
  • Report any personal injuries to the Office Manager, no matter how minor.
  • Report suspected or observed resident abuse immediately to the Administrator or designee.
  • Report abusive behavior by residents toward staff or visitors to nursing staff for follow-up.
  • Report needed repairs or environmental issues.
  • Attend required departmental meetings and in-services; obtain missed materials if absent.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisors.
