Luxor Healthcare in Missouri is seeking a dependable part-time Receptionist to join our front office team. This role supports the Office Manager and Administrator with clerical tasks, phone handling, and resident-facing duties in a regulated healthcare setting.

The position includes rotating weekend evening and night hours, greeting visitors, directing calls, handling mail, and maintaining front-desk organization while prioritizing resident care and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all facility policies, guidelines, and directives when performing tasks and using equipment.
  • Answer phones, direct calls, and take messages.
  • Greet visitors and provide directions to locations within the facility.
  • Order office supplies and departmental materials as assigned.
  • Monitor resident activity near the front door and assist or redirect as necessary.
  • File resident, employee, and business records as directed.
  • Complete departmental copying assignments.
  • Handle mail tasks including letters to physicians and delivering mail to departments.
  • Manage applicant inquiries, distribute/collect applications, and notify department heads of walk-in applicants.
  • Maintain and update the resident room board in the lobby.
  • Cooperate with personnel to prioritize resident care.
  • Immediately report resident incidents or accidents to nursing staff.
  • Report any personal injuries to the Office Manager, no matter how minor.
  • Report suspected or observed resident abuse immediately to the Administrator or designee.
  • Report abusive behavior by residents toward staff or visitors to nursing staff for follow-up.
  • Report needed repairs or environmental issues.
  • Attend required departmental meetings and in-services; obtain missed materials if absent.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and professional Receptionist to join our team. This role operates under the direction of the Office Manager and Administrator, handling day-to-day receptionist and clerical duties in accordance with all current Federal, State, local, and facility regulations and standards.

Receptionist Qualifications:
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
Receptionist Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
