Job summary

BHC Alhambra Hospital, part-time Per Diem Receptionist position, is seeking a caring and professional individual to manage a multi-line switchboard and greet visitors at our Rosemead, CA facility.

Responsibilities include clerical support, processing mail, and assisting with patient-related tasks. High school diploma and 2 years switchboard experience preferred; occasional overtime and holiday hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Two (2) years on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a health care environment.
• Additional requirements: May be required to overtime and flexible hours; work holidays and some unofficial holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow the facility guest regulations and have visitors sign the log and obtain a visitor pass.
• Answer and disseminate all incoming calls on the switchboard in a professional and courteous manner within three rings.
• Utilize the paging system to announce callers as required.
• Collate admission folders on every shift.
• Look-up patient numbers on the MS4 system; print and distribute facesheets to doctors.

BHC Alhambra Hospital is located in the beautiful city of Rosemead, California. Our 115 bed facility established in 1924 prides itself on upholding a standard of excellence that allows our patients to take the first step to recovery. BHC Alhambra Hospital is a private, fully accredited, full-service acute psychiatric hospital serving children, adolescents and adults. BHC Alhambra is dedicated to providing quality behavioral health, substance abuse, and eating disorder treatment. We offer inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient options for individuals in the communities of the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County, and surrounding areas.

The Receptionist is responsible for handling a multi-line telephone switchboard and greeting and assisting all visitors. In addition, provides clerical support as requested and processing incoming and outgoing mail.

Key Responsibilities include:

Requirements:
