Job summary

Fountain View of Monroe, operated by Ciena Healthcare, is seeking a part-time Receptionist for Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 12pm. You will greet visitors, answer phones, direct calls, and provide clerical support to staff while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities include signing in residents and visitors, directing applicants to the online application, updating the electronic medical record as directed, and assisting the Administrator and team.

Qualifications

• Typing speed 50–60 words per minute.
• Basic computer skills required.

• Organize work for receptionist on other shifts.
• Ensure vendors and visitors sign in and out.

• Provide clerical support for the Administrator and staff.
• Adhere to confidentiality requirements.
• Announce emergency codes as required.
• Enter demographic data into EMR as directed.
• Demonstrate respect for residents and co-workers.
• Prioritize tasks and complete duties on time.
• Attend in-service trainings and facility meetings.

The Receptionist is expected to represent the company in a positive manner while greeting visitors, answering telephones and directing calls. This employee also provides clerical support to staff as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answer incoming and direct incoming calls.

• Organize work to be addressed by receptionist on other shifts.
• Ensures vendors and visitors sign in and out.
• Ensuring residents sign in and out of the facility as required per policy.
• Provide clerical support for the Administrator and other staff, as directed.
• Adhere to confidentiality requirements.
• Announce emergency codes and instructions over public address system as required.
• Enters demographic information into the Electronic Medical Record, as directed by the Administrator.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and respect for the rights, dignity and individuality of each resident in all interactions.
• Know of emergency and disaster procedures of the facility.
• Demonstrate respect for co-workers and respond to needs of residents by complying with facility policies.
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties within allotted time.
• Ability to carry out the essential functions of this job (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Assure participation in relevant in-service training sessions.
• Attend and participate in facility meetings, as assigned.
• Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Typing proficiency of 50-60 words per minute.
