EMR USA Metal Recycling seeks a professional Receptionist at our Brownsville, TX site to provide a welcoming experience for employees, customers, contractors, and visitors while supporting front desk operations and daily admin tasks.

You will handle calls, mail, data entry, and coordinate with teams, ensuring a smooth, safe, and organized front desk environment. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; prior reception experience is a plus.

Formación

• Experience in receptionist, customer service, or administrative roles is preferred.
• Strong communication and professional, courteous approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic computer tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Greet employees, customers, contractors, and visitors and direct them appropriately.
• Answer and route calls and share phone coverage with staff.
• Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining records.
• Receive and distribute mail, deliveries, and documents.
• Communicate with coworkers via phone, email, and Teams.
• Keep reception area tidy and manage office supplies.

About The Opportunity

As a Receptionist at EMR, you’ll play a key role in our daily operations at our International Shipbreaking site in Brownsville, TX. In this role, you’ll provide a welcoming and professional experience for employees, customers, contractors, and visitors while supporting front desk operations and daily administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet employees, customers, contractors, and visitors, and direct them to the appropriate person or department
• Answer and route incoming calls promptly and professionally, sharing phone coverage with other front desk staff
• Assist with scale transactions, data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records
• Receive and distribute mail, deliveries, and documents
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and departments using phone, email, and Microsoft Teams
• Keep the reception area clean and organized, monitor office supplies, and assist with restocking shared areas
• Follow visitor check-in procedures and company safety policies, and assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Previous receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and a professional, courteous approach
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy office
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
