Job summary

Orthopedic Physicians Alaska is seeking a Reception Specialist for the OPA Foot & Ankle clinic. The role focuses on delivering outstanding patient service, answering calls, scheduling appointments, and handling precertifications and verifications.

The position runs Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with a comprehensive benefits package including insurance, 401K, paid time off, and more. Prioritize accuracy and strong communication to support the billing team and patient care.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10.

Salary Range: $18.50-$28.00 hourly

Your Role at OPA:

As a Reception Specialist at OPA you will greatly contribute to the team by ensuring patient needs are being met by providing outstanding customer service. As part of this role you will answer patient calls, schedule patient appointments, and complete some precertification and verification tasks.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide outstanding customer service to all patients


• Perform insurance verification and prior authorizations


• Educate patients on insurance coverage limits and options


• Work closely with the billing and other departments providing services


• Collect deposits and co-pays


• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
