Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the department Supervisor with the overall output, quality, condition, and capability of their assigned department, including receiving, picking, packing, storage, and shipping of products to meet customer needs.

Duties

1. Perform all duties of a Warehouse Associate II and Material Handler I.
2. Assist Warehouse Associates in prioritizing work.
3. Assign Warehouse Associates to areas as needed to meet warehouse demands.
4. Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
5. Assist with disciplining employees.
6. Use KPIs and other means to drive continuous improvement to increase quality, efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
7. Address employee complaints and resolve problems.
8. Collaborate with Customer Service on issues and special projects.
9. Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in managing personnel issues, including time off requests and timecard approval.
10. Understand all work functions in your area of expertise and maintain sufficient knowledge to serve as backup to the department Supervisor.
11. Work with Human Resources for staffing needs.
12. Perform weekly forklift inspections.
13. Assist with ensuring accurate inventory counts.
14. Ensure all equipment and tools in the area are in proper working order.
15. Assist with running productivity reports.
16. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
17. Follow all safety rules.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of warehouse operations experience preferred.
• RF Handheld Experience required.
• Certified to operate forklifts and cherry pickers.

Physical Demands

Regularly stand and walk on level surfaces. Frequently talk, hear, handle or feel with hands, reach above shoulder height and below waist. Able to lift up to 20 lbs. 70% of the day and up to 65 lbs. 30% of the day.

Working Conditions

Non-climate-controlled warehouse.
