Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the department Supervisor with the overall output, quality, condition and capability of their assigned department, including receiving, picking, packing, storage and shipping of products to meet customer needs.

Duties

• Perform all duties of a Warehouse Associate II and Material Handler I.
• Assist Warehouse Associates in prioritizing work and assign tasks as needed.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
• Assist with disciplining employees and address employee complaints.
• Use KPIs and other metrics to drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with Customer Service on issues and special projects.
• Manage personnel issues including time off requests and timecard approval in collaboration with the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Maintain knowledge of all work functions in the area to serve as back-up to the department Supervisor.
• Coordinate with Human Resources for staffing needs.
• Perform weekly forklift inspections.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and proper functioning of equipment and tools.
• Assist with running productivity reports.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Follow all safety rules and protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of warehouse operations experience preferred.
• RF Handheld experience required.
• Certified to operate forklifts and cherry pickers.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand and walk on level surfaces for prolonged periods. Frequently talk and hear; use hands to handle or feel; reach above shoulder height and below waist. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. 70% of the day and up to 65 lbs. 30% of the day.
