Job summary

Aerotek in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Team Leader for Receiving to supervise a 35-person dock team and coordinate with truck drivers and production leadership. The role combines hands-on receiving duties with daily leadership, including organizing arrivals, unloading, staging, and inventory tracking.

The position runs 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on a permanent basis, with potential overtime as needed. Strong leadership, forklift experience, and ERP data entry are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a receiving/warehouse supervisory role
• Experience leading a dock team and coordinating with drivers
• Proficiency with forklifts and pallet jacks
• Experience with ERP/inventory data entry and SAP or similar systems
• Strong attention to accuracy in paperwork and cycle counts
• Commitment to safety and SWI/PPE adherence

Responsibilities

• Lead a dock team of about 35 receiving associates and serve as primary contact for drivers.
• Organize trucks, manage arrivals, and unload/stage materials for production.
• Train and coach associates in receiving activities and equipment use.
• Operate sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks for unloading and material movement.
• Coordinate with drivers and production leadership to ensure timely deliveries.
• Complete paperwork and data entry for incoming inventory in ERP system.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure PPE and SWI compliance.
• Act as working team lead in unloading, staging and inventory control.
