Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of warehouse, inventory, or receiving experience.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily receiving operations and receiving team members.
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documents.
  • Inspect incoming materials for quantity, quality, and damage discrepancies.
  • Coordinate unloading, staging, and storage of received materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely system transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies with suppliers, purchasing, and logistics teams.
  • Monitor warehouse organization and material flow to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Train, coach, and support receiving personnel on processes and best practices.
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits as required.
  • Track receiving performance metrics and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with shipping, production, procurement, and warehouse teams to support operational needs.

Job description

Position: Receiving Team Lead
* Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour
* Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
* Working Days: Monday through Friday

Position Summary

The Receiving Team Lead is responsible for overseeing all receiving activities within the warehouse or distribution center. This role ensures that incoming materials are received accurately, inspected for quality, entered into inventory systems, and stored appropriately. The Receiving Team Lead supervises receiving personnel, maintains inventory accuracy, and promotes a safe and efficient work environment.
