Job summary

Odyssey Logistics is seeking a Receiving Specialist II in Vandalia, IL to manage receiving, verify shipments, document records, and prepare shipping documentation. You will work onsite in a warehouse environment with a 40-hour schedule and overtime as needed.

The role reports to the Manager, Wagner Street Operations and requires attention to detail, accuracy, and teamwork. GMP knowledge and barcode tech familiarity are valued assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• GMP knowledge preferred.
• Food Safety and HACCP knowledge preferred.
• Barcode scanners knowledge preferred.
• Read, write and comprehend English.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team oriented with good time-management and organizational skills.
• Reliable, punctual, professional and accountable.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse/production environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify against manifests, invoices and orders.
• Inspect products for damage and photograph damaged materials when needed.
• Enter received materials into SAP/WhiBoard and the P21 system.
• Prepare work orders, bills of lading, shipping orders and related documents.
• Document shipment information for reporting and recordkeeping.
• Print/apply labels and assist with organizing received materials.
• Use barcode scanners and warehouse tech to process shipments.
• Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.
• Communicate effectively with team and other departments.
