Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Receiving Specialist to ensure accurate receipt of incoming goods and proper stocking preparation. You will help maintain inventory accuracy and support timely order fulfillment.

The role requires 1+ year of warehouse or inventory experience, familiarity with WMS, and attention to detail. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment at the Denver facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Pay Range: $20 - $22.50 per Hour

Location: 455 West 56th Avenue, Denver, CO 80216

Schedule: 8am - 4pm (Shifts may extend until work is completed & also may vary during peak seasons)

Summary of Role:

The Receiving Specialist will be responsible for the accurateand efficient receipt of incoming goods, ensuring products are properly checked, documented, and prepared for stocking. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the timely fulfillment of customer orders. The Receiving Specialistwill report directly to the Receiving Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and unload incoming shipments of merchandise and supplies.
• Verify product quantities, descriptions, and quality against packing slips, purchase orders, or invoices.
• Inspect items for damage or defects and report any discrepancies or issues immediately.
• Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS) or inventory software.
• Label, tag, and sort incoming products for proper placement in the warehouse.
• Work closely with inventory, quality control, and fulfillment teams to ensure proper flow of goods.
• Assist with returns or restocking processes as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized receiving and staging areas in compliance with safety and efficiency standards.
• Follow all warehouse policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience (e-commerce environment preferred).
• Familiarity with WMS or inventory tracking systems.
• Ability to read and interpret packing slips, invoices, and barcodes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and product inspection.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Standing or sitting for extended periods
