Job summary

Palmer Food Services in Rochester, NY is hiring a Warehouse Receiving Runner to support receiving, put-away, and storage operations. The role requires lifting up to 100 lbs, operating pallet jacks and forklifts, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers full-time hours, Monday–Friday shifts 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with competitive hourly pay and benefits including health coverage and retirement options. Prior warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with proper technique.
• Comfortable with machinery reaching heights of 25 ft.
• Ability to work in freezer and coolers.
• Familiarity with warehouse software programs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Breakdown skids to help stockers identify product and disperse it.
• Complete assigned maintenance areas daily.
• Assist receiver by transporting products to storage locations.
• Ensure accurate put-away and storage of received goods.
• Handle products with care to prevent damage.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.
• Maintain organized storage areas for efficiency.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Communicate with receivers and warehouse staff to ensure timely put-away.
• Report discrepancies or damages to supervisor.
