Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Receiving Quality Control Inspector in Youngstown, OH. You will verify incoming materials against drawings, BOMs, and POs, ensure conformance, and document results.

You’ll coordinate with Procurement, Quality, Production and Engineering to resolve non-conforming issues and drive quality improvements. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple inspections and records in an ERP system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree or electrical trade certification preferred.
• One year of experience in structural/electrical inspection in electromechanical industries required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Basic computer and math skills for calibration and measurement.
• Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, meters, calipers).
• Blueprints/electrical schematic reading is required.
• Documentation and reporting skills.
• Teamwork and collaboration.
• Growth mindset with adaptability.
• Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs+, sit/stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming electrical components against BOM, PO, and supplier data sheets.
• Inspect incoming structural material per drawings, specifications, and POs.
• Conduct power-on testing for electrical components.
• Record inspection results and update ERP system.
• Review supplier documentation (MTRs, COAs) and file appropriately.
• Isolate and quarantine defective or non-conforming materials.
• Generate NCRs with photos and clear defect descriptions.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Supplier Quality, Production and Engineering for root cause investigations.
